Word Watch Update V0.4

Well its been a bit since I've been able to get into my itch account but i finally got access and along with that what would have been multiple updates has become one. So where do i start. 

Gameplay Updates and additions

Since the last update a lot of work ahs went into smoothing of gameplay and making it feel better and play better. Building on that core we had built previously. Now when highlighting a word they will shake red if its an invalid word and green if its valid and expanding on the Current selected functionality it will now tell you if a words valid as you do it and if so how many points its worth. This along with some other small changes has i hope helped add some life to the game and make it feel a little more pleasing to play and more intuitive.

Along with this new animations when starting the game and clearing letters have been introduced. At the start it gives the user time to get ready. and if the user decides to press new letters this adds a penalty to the player by making them wait a few seconds for the grid to be remade.

Quests

The first iteration of quests has been added to the game giving the player more ways to earn exp. These can be refreshed and have different variations and rewards giving the player a variety of quests they can try do while they play. This will be expanded in future but for now a simple quest system is in place for the players.

Achievements

Another new addition is achievements. 10 new achievements for players to earn and go for. Players can go to the panel to see there progress and what needs to be done to unlock them. Can you be the first person to get all 10. (well 9 because one has a small issue...). These aren't easy and some i have barely completed myself . Have fun getting them and good luck.

Profile

The profile is something i want players to be proud of. Let them build up some insane stats and flex it on other players. From the previous version new art and stats and even a new simple ranking system ahs been implemented. Players can try increase there average score to get different ranks. I would love to see someone get the top rank but it is very hard and i doubt anyone will become a watcher ..

Extra stuff

There will be a lot i've missed and this build is still a prototype so some issues are expected and will arise. Sound and music has been implemented partially but will be built on in the next update as we get closer to a launch build.
